Microelectrode studies on concealment of multiple premature atrial responses.

چکیده
the conduction of premature responses has resulted from the precise and degwtff W@kW& by Langendorf, a n d K a t z a n d P i cardiograms of patients with arrhythmias. The elaborate associates on experimentally evoked arrhythmias have further increased our knowledge of conduction of premature responses. Recently, Moe et al. demonstrated that as many as six premature atrial responses can be concealed in succession. Since only atrial and ventricular electrograms were recorded in these studies, it was not possible to define the site or mechanism of AV block of the premature atrial response.

Microelectrode studies on retrograde concealment of multiple premature ventricular responses.
Retrograde concealment of serially evoked premature ventricular responses was studied in an isolated preparation of rabbit atria and ventricles. Transmembrane potentials were recorded simultaneously from single cells within the atrioventricular (A-V) node and ventricular specialized conduction system, together with atrial and ventricular bipolar electrograms. In these experiments, retrograde co...
متن کاملEffects Of Fast Pathway Ablation On The Concealment Zone And Electrophysiological Behavior Of AV-Node During Atrial Fibrillation.
Objectives: Dual pathways have a determinant role in the occurrence of atrio nodal tachyarrhythmia (AVNRT). The aim of present study is to determine the role of slow pathway (SP) in the concealment zone and protective role of AV node during atrial fibrillation (AF). Material &Methods: In 7 isolated nodal rabbit preparation zone of concealment and concealed conduction is quantified by Specif...
متن کاملSino-atrial reciprocation in the isolated rabbit heart.
Reciprocal beats between sinus node and atrium were studied in isolated rabbit heart tissue by microelectrode techniques. Early premature atrial responses which entered the sinus node frequently emerged to re-excite the atrium as "echoes." When the premature atrial beats discharged some but not all nodal areas, the atrial echoes, in turn, appeared to re-enter the sinus node. Repetitive reciproc...
متن کاملProtective effects of simvastatin on atrioventricular node during simulated experimental atrial fibrillation in vitro
Introduction: Recent evidence has indicated that statins can reduce the incidence of both supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmias with various mechanisms. The primary goal of the present study was to determine direct protective role of simvastatin in modifying concealed conduction and the zone of concealment in a simulated model of atrial fibrillation (AF) in an isolated atrioventricula...
متن کاملWolff-Parkinson-White syndrome
Concealed conduction into accessory atrioventricular pathways has been postulated to explain variability of R-R intervals during atrial fibrillation in patients with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome. We examined the occurrence of concealed conduction into atrioventricular pathways using extrastimulus techniques in 26 consecutive patients undergoing electrophysiologic studies for the Wolff-Parkins...
